‘EVERYDAY LIFE’ of Ping Pong 5 is a collection of visual narratives that playfully overturns the traditional Olympic motto from ‘Faster, Higher, Stronger’ to a more thoughtful, empowering approach ‘Slower, Lower, Gentler’ when coping with our daily challenges.

ART CONCEPT

Statement: 

The Olympic motto is made up of three Latin words:

Citius - Altus - Fortius.

These words mean Faster - Higher - Stronger. We have always been trying to achieve that in our daily lives. Yet in today’s world full of insanity and absurdity, the spirit may not translate the most thoughtful empowerment.

So, let’s use the new motto:

Faster  Slower  - Higher  Lower  - Stronger  Gentler

You will live like a champion in your everyday life.

This is an annual publication of illustrations produced by several artists and illustrators from Hong Kong. In 2020-2021, seven Hong Kong artists worked together in collaboration behind the illustrator group Ping Pong to launch the latest edition on the theme 'Olympics in Future'.
