Everything's in Place
2024 | Key Visuals & Promotional Materials | Space+ & Very Hong Kong
CREATIVE CONCEPT
We are invited by Space+ and Very Hong Kong to create the key visual and a few promotional materials for their symposium "Everything's in PLACE" Asia Placemaking Convention presented at Tai Kwun.
The graphic draws inspiration from the bustling urban neighbourhoods of Hong Kong, where buildings, nature and community coexist in a balanced harmony. It illustrates how local residents ingeniously utilise vacant spaces and repurpose seemingly-unavailable areas for storage and daily activities, such as practicing yoga on rooftops and transforming outdoor recreational spaces into pop-up sports venues.
The key visual includes some of the iconic Hong Kong urban elements such as the ice-cream van, Tai Pai Dong set up, traditional flooring tiles and neon signs. The keywords "space" and "method" are playfully integrated as graphics on windows, sliding doors and advertising boards, symbolising possibilities and communication across multiple languages.
